This is my take on the modern medium-small chambered hard rubber soprano sax mouthpiece design. After years of searching, I have finally found a blank that outdoes everything else I have tried in this realm. It plays like a dream, immediately responsive from the bottom of the range to the top with enough projection to cut through any ensemble yet without ever getting harsh. This mouthpiece can be at home in any setting, from sensitive modern jazz where tone & timbre are paramount, to electrified modern ensembles where the soprano saxophonist must be able to cut through dense sonic waves, hence the name for this wonderful little soprano mouthpiece; "La Moderna".
